ABOUT THE BAND
Chicagoland party rock since 2004
It's About the FUN!
ZODIAC is the region’s unstoppable fun-loving PARTY ROCK band that is 100% LIVE music! The “5-STAR” line up of musicians will cover all the best rock tunes that keep the house jumpin’, feet movin’, heads bangin’, drinks flowin’, and the party goin’ all night long! If you're one who seeks variety to spice up your life, the buck stops here!
ZODIAC mixes up their evenings with bits and pieces of all party rock styles such as Styx, Walk the Moon, Elle King, Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Beatles, Nirvana, Metallica and everywhere in between! No two shows are ever identical! The only predictable thing here is that you will definitely be rocked right.
Be sure to check the schedule often and join in the “spontaneous” fun!

If there’s one thing people should know about me it’s that I LOVE to have fun. If you can’t do that, then what’s the point, right?
I’m what you might call a “later bloomer” entertainer. I didn’t start performing in front of live audiences until I was …… well, let’s just say, much older than most people! It’s all good. People I have been influenced by musically would be first and foremost, THE DIVINE MISS M (Bette Midler). I always said that if I could trade shoes with anyone, it would be her. (I’d like her money too.)
About 50% of my favorite music is harder rock such as Scorpions, RUSH, UFO, Triumph, Foghat, Ozzy, and I’d say the other 50% is divided between punk, pop and blues-rock like Blondie, Nena Hagan, Pat Benetar, Pink, No Doubt, Sheryl Crow, Susan Tedeschi, Lucinda Williams, yadda-yadda-yadda.
Over the years, the band has made a lot of friends along the way of all ages and we look forward to seeing them at our gigs. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the loyal friends, family and believe it or not…FANS….we have.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit more about us. We hope to see you at the next ZODIAC ATTACK! Come out…..I dare ya.
I was called by an old friend, Robert Plant. He asked if I would be interested in joining Zep. I immediately said, "You know Robert, this band is all about you and Jimmy. I want to be in a band that's all about me". The thought of working with Robert again made me queasy. And having to perform as a sideman ain't gonna cut it.
I have been around the concert scene for many years. In the past with The Riders of the Purple Sage and most recently with Deep Purple. But now I am looking forward to playing with The Purple Pork Pies. (I have a thing for purple).
I would like to say thank you to all the PPP fans for welcoming me into the band.
Mark has been playing in rock bands in "The Region" for the past 35 years. He started out as a guitar player in the pop rock band Whose Dolly? Then he transitioned to bass guitar in The Breaks. Mark continued to play rock in the local clubs for many years with The Ride with Steve Seto, Gerry Cercone, and Steve Lill. He then filled in for the local dance rock band, All Tooned Up, for a few years before landing with ZODIAC. Joining ZODIAC in 2005, Mark has been providing a solid bass foundation for the band.
In addition to Chris's work with our cover band Zodiac, he also has an emerging solo career with original Instumental rock. He has been featured in Guitar World Magazine, and has had the pleasure to open for Greg Howe and Michael Angelo Batio. He is also working on his sophomore album, so look for it soon.
He says, "I love performing with Zodiac and having a chance to bring some great rock 'n roll to the masses! My favorite song to perform with Zodiac is 'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' by Night Ranger"
Chris has been awarded the 2016 American Songwriters Award for the Instumental catagory for his song "Forge the Dream" on his debut album Embers Alive. Congratulations to Chris for this awesome achievement.
Also please visit Chris's Website www.chrisbolint.com to get information where he will be playing his originals as well as links to stream his music.
